Craps is a game for truly gamblers

Basic strategy

The game is divided into 2 stages. In the first stage, the player rolls the dice. And if the sum is 7 or 11, then the player automatically wins. And if 2, 3 or 12 drops out, then the player loses. The same combination is called Craps.
In both of these cases, the dice go to the next player. If any other number (4,5,6,8,9,10) falls out, the player moves on to the next stage, which is called a Point. The dealer has a special chip, on one side of which is written ON, and on the other — OFF.
During the transition to the next stage, the dealer must put his chip on the number that the thrower has. By the way, the dice-throwing player is called a shooter, or just a shooter.
Pass-line
Craps game is one of the most interesting games thanks to the bets in it! All bets that can be made are displayed on the cloth. The most important bet in the game is the pass-line bet, which is also called front-line.
This bet is extremely popular because thanks to it you have as many as 8 winning options and 4 losing options. Thus, on average, the casino wins only $14 per one thousand dollars of bets. The drawing of the bet takes place in the following ways:
- If the shooter throws 7 or 11, then the bet wins;
- If the shooter throws 2, 3 or 12 (craps), then the bet loses;
- If the shooter throws 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10, then one of these numbers becomes the point number, and the player moves on to the next stage. In order to win in the next round, the shooter needs to throw out his point number again. But you need to do this before the total drops out 7. If 7 falls out, then the bet loses. If any other number falls out, then this number does not matter at all;
- If, after determining the number of points in the total, 7 falls out, then the bet loses.
In case of winning, the bet is paid 1 to 1.
Types of additional bets
At the second stage, the shooter and other players can bet on additional outcomes. Bets placed in the base field are similar to lines — they win or lose at certain amounts and can remain in the field for several throws. Payment terms:
- Big 6 and Big 8 — wins when 6 or 8 drops to 7. Paid 1 to 1.
- The come/don’t come — similar to the Passage/I do not pass, but they can be placed not only before the first throw, but also any subsequent one. Payment is 1 to 1.
- The buy bets are paid at 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10, thrown up to 7. At 6 or 8, 6 to 5 is paid, at 5, 9 — 3 to 2, at 4 or 10 — 2 to 1.
- The lay bets — are paid similarly to the buy bet, but when the seven drops to the listed figures.
